Job Title: Assistant Manager – Procurement (Fragrance Buyer)

Reporting to: Manager/Sr Manager Procurement
Role Purpose
This is a strategic procurement role responsible for sourcing of raw materials and aroma ingredients portfolio across categories. The role combines commercial acumen supplier partnership and strong quantitative aptitude to deliver quality innovation and cost efficiency. The ideal candidate brings experience from mid-level fragrance organizations and understands fragrance development pricing structures and supplier dynamics.
Key Responsibilities
• Category Strategy & Portfolio
o Develop sourcing supply chain for fragrance ingredients and speciality chemicals portfolio
o Close coordination in developing new fragrance and products aligned to R&D brand quality and cost objectives.
• Sourcing & Supplier Management
o Identify assess and onboard suppliers; negotiate commercials payment terms and service levels.
o Drive supplier performance across OTIF quality compliance and innovation metrics.
• Cost & Commercials
o Own should-cost models for key materials; analyze cost drivers
o Deliver cost savings through strategic initiatives
Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelor’s/Master’s in Chemistry Cosmetic Science Perfumery
• 4–7 years of experience in fragrance procurement/buying or sourcing at a fragrance manufacturing company.
• Exposure to ingredient pricing frameworks and supplier ecosystems (preferred: experience with perfume or perfume ingredient manufacturing organizations like Keva Ajmal JK JB EFF IFF Oriental Privi).
• Strong quantitative skills—cost modeling benchmarking TCO analysis and data-driven decision-making.
• Deep ingredient sourcing expertise along with domestic and international supplier relationships.
• Proficiency in ERP/Procurement tools ; advanced Excel; Power BI preferred.
