Finance and Admin Lead
This position exists to lead the Finance and Administration department with specific emphasis on but not limited to the tasks below:
- Financial Strategy & Planning: Direct and implement comprehensive financial strategies including financial analysis modeling and forecasting to support strategic decision-making.
- Financial Operations Management: Oversee daily financial operations including accounts payable receivable and general ledger ensuring efficient and sound accounting policies.
- Internal Controls & Systems: Manage and develop robust internal systems and controls to safeguard company assets and ensure adherence to financial regulations.
- Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare and present accurate monthly management accounts statutory year-end accounts and ad hoc financial reports to the Board and management.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Prepare comprehensive budgets and forecasts for the Board and management including monthly departmental budget reviews and monitoring performance.
- Tax & Regulatory Compliance: Oversee audit and tax functions ensuring timely and correct payment of all statutory obligations (e.g. VAT Income Tax PAYE) and compliance with relevant acts (e.g. Companys Act Tax Acts) including import/export regulations and ZIMRA queries.
- Export and Import Control: Management of export and import documentation/ operations for all farm production (excluding Flower logistics where only assistance and understanding will be required).
- Risk Management: Assess manage and minimize financial and operational risks through effective strategies and appropriate insurance coverage.
- Cash Flow & Treasury Management: Prepare weekly monthly and quarterly cash flow forecasts for internal and external stakeholders including weekly treasury reports and optimize working capital.
- Account Reconciliation & Ledger Maintenance: Ensure monthly and annual general ledger account reconciliations and maintain the Fixed Asset Register (updating new assets depreciation disposals).
- Stock Management: Develop systems for and control all company stocks including consumable stores management (receiving issuing safekeeping) and reconciliations.
- Debtor & Creditor Management: Manage debtors for timely cash collection adherence to credit limits and monthly reconciled invoicing and manage creditors for timely payments with monthly reconciliations.
- Bank & Cash Management: Perform all bank reconciliations cash book receipting disbursement and related reconciliations.
- Administrative & IT Support: Handle salaried staff administration (contracts bonuses loans deductions) and provide IT administration support (network troubleshooting email setup accounting backups).
- Team Leadership & Development: Build lead and mentor a high-performing finance and admin team fostering a collaborative and results-oriented culture.
- Workplace Health & Safety: Ensure adherence to health and safety measures within the workplace.
Commercial Lead
As the Commercial Lead you will oversee the Sales and Marketing Managers requiring a strong understanding of and active involvement in their responsibilities.
- Sales Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies defining target markets customer segments and value propositions to achieve revenue and market share objectives.
- Financial Facilities Management: Manage all bank accounts loans and facilities including arranging future facilities to meet cash flow requirements.
- Market Analysis & Development: Conduct thorough market research to identify new opportunities analyse competition and develop strategies for market entry and customer base expansion.
- Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers utilizing CRM systems to enhance satisfaction and loyalty.
- Distribution & Logistics Optimization: Optimize distribution channels and logistics for efficient and cost-effective product delivery managing inventory and supply chain performance.
- Marketing & Branding: Develop and execute effective marketing campaigns managing the companys brand identity and messaging across various channels including digital.

- Packhouse Operations Oversight: Oversee and assist the Packhouse Operations Manager to ensure effective production planning forecasting and stock management protocols all with aims of better aligning with cash flow and production targets.
