Outline
We are seeking experienced AVP-level professionals to provide hands-on Level 2
functional and production support for pan-Asia payments technology operations in the
banking domain. The role will support payment applications interfaces AML/payment
screening controls and operational workflows across domestic and cross-border
payments. The candidate should be comfortable working in a production support model
handling incidents service requests exception queues and root-cause analysis while
coordinating with business operations and technology teams.
Responsibilities
• Provide L2 support for payment systems and workflows covering domestic and cross-
border payments across APAC markets.
• Support payment operations dispute management returns investigations and
exception handling workflows for rails such as IMPS UPI NEFT RTGS PayNow
PromptPay NPP/PayID and FPS.
• Monitor triage and resolve payment-related incidents alerts failed transactions
interface breaks and AML/sanctions screening exceptions within SLA timelines.
• Work on functional analysis of payment messages and transactions using SWIFT MT
/ MX and ISO 20022 message standards.
• Support applications built on platforms such as Oracle Banking Payments (OBP)
Oracle FLEXCUBE Finastra Fusion Payments TCS BaNCS or Temenos Transact.
• Assist in implementing tuning and supporting AML / sanctions / payment screening
platforms such as Actimize Fenergo OFSAA or Temenos Financial Crime Mitigation.
• Perform defect analysis issue replication configuration validation and basic
SQL/data checks to support root-cause analysis.
• Collaborate with L3 engineering infrastructure and business operations teams for
bug fixes change deployments and production validations.
• Prepare incident summaries problem records knowledge articles and recurring issue
analysis for service improvement.
• Participate in release support UAT / production shakeout activities weekend
deployments and stabilization support when required.
Mandatory Requirements
3-6 years of experience in banking / payments application support production
support or techno-functional support roles.
• Hands-on exposure to at least one core banking / payments platform such as OBP
Oracle FLEXCUBE Finastra Fusion Payments TCS BaNCS or Temenos Transact.
• Working knowledge of domestic and cross-border payment flows payment lifecycle
events returns reversals investigations and exception handling.
• Functional understanding of SWIFT and ISO 20022 / MT message formats.
• Working exposure to AML / sanctions / screening concepts and support activities in a
banking environment.
• Experience in incident management problem management service request handling
and production support governance.
• Ability to perform log analysis transaction tracing and basic SQL/data validation for
troubleshooting.
• Experience working in Agile / SAFe or structured banking technology delivery
environments.
• Working level understanding of the regulatory payments landscape in at least one
APAC jurisdiction.
• Good stakeholder communication skills with the ability to work with operations
business users and technology teams.
Preferred Qualifications
• Exposure to one or more APAC payment ecosystems beyond India such as
Singapore Thailand Hong Kong or Australia.
• Experience with ticketing / ITSM tools such as ServiceNow JIRA BMC Remedy or
equivalent.
• Knowledge of API / host-to-host integrations middleware batch processing and
reconciliation workflows in payments.
• Understanding of production support metrics SLA/KPI tracking and post-incident
review practices.
• Prior experience in L2 support for mission-critical banking applications in a 24x7
support model.
