About the Program

St. Vincents Medical Center is a major academic affiliate of the Frank H. Netter MD School of Medicine at Quinnipiac University offering a dynamic environment for physicians passionate about resident education and mentorship.

Our Hospital Medicine program is well-established collegial and supported by a full complement of subspecialists and dedicated intensivists.

Position Highlights (Hospitalist Job Connecticut)

• Hospital Type: 520-bed academic medical center
• Location: Bridgeport CT (Fairfield County coastal Connecticut)
• Schedule: 1719 shifts per month (non-block scheduling model)
• Patient Census: Average 1416 patients per shift (cap 1820)
• ICU Model: Closed ICU with 24/7 intensivist coverage
• Procedures & Coverage:
  • Hospitalists manage rapid responses
  • Intensivists lead code situations and ICU care
• Team Structure: 25 Hospitalists in a collaborative team-based model
• Support: Strong case management nursing and specialty backup
