Job Summary

Lead mentor and manage a team of mechanical technicians and engineers responsible for the installation maintenance and repair of mechanical systems.
Develop and implement comprehensive preventive and predictive maintenance programs to enhance equipment reliability and extend asset lifespan.
Oversee the design commissioning and optimization of mechanical systems including HVAC chillers pumps compressors and piping networks.
Ensure full compliance with local regional and international safety environmental and operational standards (e.g. ISO 9001 OSHA ISO 14001).
Collaborate with cross-functional teamsincluding electrical IT and facilitiesto ensure integrated system performance and rapid response to operational issues.
Analyze equipment performance data and KPIs to identify trends initiate corrective actions and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Manage procurement vendor relationships and capital expenditure planning for mechanical equipment and spare parts.
Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for mechanical failures and lead implementation of long-term solutions.
Prepare and present operational reports budgets and performance dashboards to senior leadership.
Support the rollout of new facilities and upgrades in alignment with regional expansion plans.

Requirements

Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field; professional engineering license (PE) or equivalent certification is highly desirable.
25 years of progressive experience in mechanical operations facility maintenance or industrial plant operations within a technology data center or energy-intensive environment.
Proven leadership experience managing technical teams and delivering operational results under tight deadlines.
Strong knowledge of mechanical system design thermodynamics fluid dynamics and mechanical reliability principles.
Proficiency in CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) and data-driven maintenance planning tools.
Experience with energy efficiency optimization and sustainability initiatives in operational settings.
Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical failures under pressure.
Fluency in English; proficiency in French is an advantage given the regional context.
