Job Summary
CLOUD ARCHITECT/LIFECYCLE (HYBRID LISBON)
Portuguese company hires for hybrid position
Location: LisbonPortugal (candidates must already be based in mainland Portugal)
Only candidates already basedin Portugal will be considered
Work Model: Hybrid (2days/week on-site)

Key Responsibilities
Cloud Architecture &Strategy
- Design and define cloud architecture solutions aligned with business security and regulatory requirements
- Contribute to and evolve the cloud strategy and governance framework
- Deliver reference architectures design patterns and best practices
Cloud Migration &Lifecycle Management
- Drive move-to-cloud programs and workload migrations
- Monitor and assess cloud-hosted applications (internal & SaaS)
- Define and manage migration roadmaps and lifecycle strategies
Governance Security& Compliance
- Define and enforce cloud security standards and Secure Development Lifecycle (SCA SAST DAST)
- Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks (e.g. GDPR)
- Implement cost management and governance policies
Engineering Enablement &Best Practices
- Advise teams on cloud-native architectures microservices APIs DevOps and AI/ML integration
- Promote use of IaC and container orchestration tools
- Support development teams with scalable and resilient design patterns
Stakeholder &Innovation Management
- Collaborate with business and IT leaders in a fast-paced environment
- Lead technical discussions reporting and governance forums
- Evaluate emerging technologies POCs and fintech innovations
Leadership &Community Contribution
- Mentor junior architects and engineers
- Contribute to cross-functional committees (API governance AI partnerships)
- Support onboarding knowledge sharing and team development
Technical Skills Required
Cloud Platforms
- Strong experience with AWS Azure Google Cloud or IBM Cloud (5 years)
Architecture &Distributed Systems
- Expertise in solution architecture OOP/OOAD scalability and resiliency
- Experience designing distributed and cloud-native systems
Containers &Infrastructure as Code
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes Docker OpenShift Terraform Ansible
DevOps & Security
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Experience with Secure Development Lifecycle tools (SCA SAST DAST CSPM)
Design & Governance
- Experience with cloud design patterns and reusable architectures
- Strong understanding of governance compliance and risk management
Nice to Have
- Experience with IBM Cloud (Cloud Pak OpenShift on IBM Cloud)
- Certifications such as AWS/Azure/GCP Architect TOGAF
- Knowledge of OpenStack
- Experience in financial services / banking / fintech
- Exposure to Data Science or AI ecosystems
