Job Summary

Vita Medical Associates P.C. a multi-specialty private practice infusion center in Bethlehem PA is seeking an experienced Medical Billing Specialist with a minimum of 3 years of medical billing and insurance AR experience. Candidate should be a team player detail oriented and have excellent verbal and written customer service skills. Rheumatology Gastroenterology and/or Oncology billing strongly preferred.

**We are looking to fill this position immediately**

Responsibilities and Duties:

Follow up on delinquent insurance claims in a timely manner
Research and resolve discrepancies denials and appeals on all accounts
Answering patient questions regarding billing and payments
Manage patient accounts and collections
All other duties as assigned

Requirements:

At least 3 years of experience in medical billing (Oncology experience preferred)
Understanding of posted charges and payments
Experience with insurance pre-certification
Experience with insurance verification
Understands and follows CMS billing guidelines
Experience with Patient Advocacy programs
Must be familiar with claim entry ICD10 modifiers CPT HCFA 1500
Knowledge of OncoEMR helpful
Ability to work as part of a team
Ability to handle all phone calls in a professional service-oriented manner
Oncology Experience is preferred but not a requirement

Proficient in computer skills Billing software Communication skills processing credit card payments Microsoft Word/Excel.
