The Information Security unit is responsible for developing and executing information security strategy policy enforcement compliance risk mitigation cybersecurity and cybersecurity awareness. Responsibilities also encompass supporting security assessments of IT infrastructure and applications while defining security standards and developing and implementing security controls.
Position Responsibilities
Under the direction and supervision of the Director Information Security the intern will:
- Be responsible for the installation maintenance and repair of cable systems ensuring high-quality service delivery
- Installing maintaining and repairing copper cable systems in Intermediate distribution frame (IDFs) and Main Distribution Frame (MDFs).
- Cabling current and new setups including copper patching and fiber patching.
- Terminating cables in IDF patch panels and cross-connects as well as troubleshooting and repairing cabling and infrastructure problems as needed.
- Help monitor IDF/MDF environment including power usage rack capacity.
- Decommissioning of old hardware: un-cable remove from racks and organize disposal.
- Updating rack documentation and maintaining accurate IDF/MDF documentation/drawings including assisting with other team related administrative or operational tasks as needed.
- Managing hardware inventory.
- Responding to Service Now tickets as necessary.

Qualifications :
As of June of the Program year the prospective intern must be a student matriculated in a college or be a recent college graduate (winter/spring term of the Program year).
NOTE: Appointment to this title is only valid for the duration of the Program June - August each year.
