Team Overview
Applied Materials Office of the CTO group is searching for an intern to join our team in summer 2025! At Applieds CTO group we focus on developing new semiconductor materials and devices for emerging markets and technology inflections by harnessing our state-of-the-art materials engineering and semiconductor processing capabilities. The position will entail the following:
Responsibilities
- Work with process hardware and metrology team to develop new functional PVD materials
- Design and conduct experiments and collect and analyze metrology data for process optimization
- Explore new growth areas leveraging Applieds expertise in precision material engineering
Requirements
- Education: MSE/EE/Phys working towards Ph.D. degree and intent on continuing education after the internship
- Hand-on experience in semiconductor material growth device fabrication and characterization
- Passionate about semiconductor material and device engineering
- Good communication and presentation skills

YesThe salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location hire grade job-related knowledge skills experience and with consideration of internal equity of our current team addition to a comprehensive benefits package candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program as applicable.
For all sales roles the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
