Position Overview
A growing mechanical services company is seeking an experienced Journeyman Service Plumber to join its service team in the Dallas area. This position focuses on diagnosing repairing and maintaining plumbing systems primarily in commercial environments.
The ideal candidate is a self-driven service professional who can troubleshoot plumbing issues work independently in the field and deliver high-quality customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose and repair commercial plumbing systems.
Perform service work including leak detection fixture repair or replacement pipe repairs and system troubleshooting.
Install maintain and repair plumbing fixtures piping systems and valves.
Communicate clearly with customers regarding problems solutions and recommendations.
Document service work and complete service reports accurately.
Ensure all work meets local plumbing codes and safety standards.
Maintain a clean and organized service vehicle and job site.
Coordinate with supervisors on complex issues or system repairs.
Identify potential additional service needs when appropriate.
Work Environment
Field-based role with technicians dispatched directly to job sites.
Service area includes Dallas and surrounding areas.
Work consists of approximately 95% commercial service and 5% residential.
Qualifications
Active Texas Journeyman Plumber License (required).
3 years of plumbing experience preferred.
Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
Experience with commercial plumbing systems preferred.
Ability to work independently and manage service calls.
Valid drivers license and clean driving record.
