Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Speech Therapist (ST) to provide high-quality rehabilitation services in a skilled nursing setting. The role involves collaborating closely with a dynamic team of therapists nurses and other healthcare professionals to support residents communication and swallowing needs.

Requirements
  • Licensure: Must hold a currently active license to practice as a Speech Therapist in California.

  • Experience: Less than 1 year acceptable; new graduates encouraged to apply.

  • Certifications: Standard ST licensure required; additional certifications (e.g. ACLS BLS PALS NRP) are a plus.

  • EMR: Experience with PointClickCare or Nethealth preferred but training and mentoring provided.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess develop and implement individualized speech language and swallowing treatment plans.

  • Collaborate with other therapists (PT OT) and nursing staff to coordinate patient care.

  • Document patient progress and treatment plans accurately in EMR.

  • Mentor and support newer or less experienced staff as needed.

  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to enhance resident outcomes.

Work Environment
  • Skilled Nursing Facility with multiple units including sub-acute and memory care.

  • Work alongside a team of 20 therapists in a collaborative environment.

  • Flexibility for part-time at one location or full-time split between two locations.
