Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Sales Planning

  • Develop and execute regional sales strategies aligned with the companys overall commercial objectives.
  • Identify and capitalize on new market opportunities to expand the companys footprint within the animal feed sector.
  • Establish annual quarterly and monthly sales targets and ensure effective implementation across the region.
  • Monitor market trends competitor activities and industry developments to inform strategic decisions.

2. Distribution and Channel Development

  • Develop manage and expand a strong distributor and dealer network within the region.
  • Ensure effective distribution coverage to maximize product availability and market penetration.
  • Evaluate distributor performance and implement initiatives to improve sales productivity and operational efficiency.

3. Key Account Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including large-scale farms poultry integrators aquaculture farms and agricultural input dealers.
  • Provide strategic support to major accounts to enhance customer loyalty and long-term partnerships.
  • Address customer inquiries and challenges promptly while ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.

4. Sales Performance Management

  • Monitor regional sales performance against established targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Prepare accurate sales forecasts budgets and performance reports.
  • Provide timely market intelligence and insights to senior management for informed decision-making.

5. Team Leadership and Development

  • Lead mentor and supervise Area Sales Managers Territory Sales Officers and Sales Representatives within the region.
  • Establish clear performance objectives and provide continuous coaching to enhance team capability and productivity.
  • Foster a high-performance sales culture focused on accountability collaboration and results.

6. Product Promotion and Technical Support

  • Collaborate with technical and marketing teams to promote animal feed products through farm visits product demonstrations seminars and industry events.
  • Support customers with relevant product knowledge and best practices to improve farm productivity and feed efficiency.


  • Bachelors degree in Animal Science Agriculture Agribusiness Marketing or a related field (MBA is an added advantage).
  • Minimum of 812 years of progressive sales experience preferably within the animal feed livestock or agribusiness industry.
  • Demonstrated experience managing regional sales operations and distributor networks.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales growth and market expansion.
  • Strong leadership negotiation and relationship-management skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools and Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent analytical forecasting and reporting abilities.
  • Results-driven mindset with strong commercial acumen.
  • Strong understanding of animal nutrition feed formulations and livestock production systems.
  • Proven ability to manage large territories and high-value key accounts.
