M&A Transaction Advisory / Due Diligence Consultant
Location: Remote (US) Type: Contract (project-based often 4-12 weeks per engagement) Compensation: Competitive commensurate with experience (high-end for PE consulting) Overview: Support PE firms during deal generation commercial/operational due diligence and post-close integration by identifying risks synergies value creation levers and operational efficiencies in potential acquisitions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive operational commercial and financial due diligence on targets across industries.
- Assess operational performance supply chain resilience cost structures and scalability.
- Quantify EBITDA adjustments synergies and value creation opportunities.
- Support carve-out analyses add-on integrations and risk mitigation planning.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations for PE investment committees.
Requirements:
- 7 years in transaction advisory due diligence or M&A consulting preferably with PE focus (e.g. at top strategy firms or boutiques like IGS).
- Deep experience in operational due diligence quality of earnings and post-merger value creation.
- Strong financial modeling data analysis and industry knowledge (manufacturing healthcare or tech a plus).
- Ability to work under tight deal timelines with high attention to detail.
- Bachelors degree required; advanced degree or relevant certifications preferred.
