Job Summary

Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Mechanic-
Position Overview:
The A&P Mechanic is responsible for performing both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on flight training aircraft. This role ensures all maintenance activities are completed in compliance with company procedures and applicable regulatory requirements maintaining the highest standards of safety and airworthiness.
This is a full-time five-day workweek position with potential shift flexibility based on operational needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine and non-routine maintenance inspections and repairs on aircraft in accordance with approved technical data and FAA regulations
Interpret and utilize maintenance manuals parts catalogs engineering drawings service bulletins and airworthiness directives
Troubleshoot mechanical discrepancies and determine appropriate corrective actions
Complete accurate aircraft logbook entries and return aircraft to service when applicable
Maintain a clean safe and organized work environment
Collaborate effectively with team members while also working independently when required
Adapt to changing priorities and support operational requirements including flexible shift coverage
Qualifications:
Education & Certification -
Valid Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License required at the time of hire
Ability to obtain Inspection Authorization (IA) within a defined period post-hire
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of recent consecutive General Aviation (GA) experience as a certificated A&P Mechanic
Experience with Piper aircraft is preferred
Familiarity with Garmin G1000 systems is an asset
Skills & Competencies:
Strong knowledge of FAA regulations including Title 14 CFR Parts 43 and 91
Ability to make sound airworthiness decisions independently
Strong troubleshooting analytical and problem-solving skills
Effective communication skills both written and verbal
Proficiency in Microsoft Office; ability to learn maintenance tracking systems (e.g. RMS software)
High attention to detail with a strong commitment to safety and compliance
Self-motivated with the ability to manage workload and prioritize tasks efficiently
