Role Overview:

This strategic sales position requires an in-depth knowledge of how technology is used to enable business goals. It requires strategic thinking coupled with tactical execution of identified business opportunities. You will be responsible for managing all facets of the relationship with key accounts assigned to you while ensuring revenue goals are being met. Developing opportunities across the F5 solution portfolio while effectively selling solutions and services using technical and customer knowledge to influence and build relationships while working closely with Systems Integrators large Service Providers and regional VARs. This is an individual contributor and quota carrying role.

What Youll Do:

Solution & Business Selling

  • Applies knowledge of how technology is used to enable business goals or overcome business challenges to sell F5 solutions to the accounts assigned to you
  • Understand customers business needs develop application of products and services and communicate how F5s solutions will address those needs
  • Determine market strategies and goals for each product and service understanding the strategies goals and objectives of named accounts

Account Ownership & Planning

  • Maintains and supports ongoing customer relationships
  • Primary point-of-contact for account/(s) and maintains contact with accounts at a high executive level focusing on the strategic nature of the relationship
  • Responsible for identifying and qualifying long-term and short-term business opportunities and proactively identifying and addressing competitive threats
  • Responsible for rapidly growing and retaining named accounts
  • Manage existing accounts including maintaining account plans creating presentation materials that are executive-facing or usable across multiple levels of the customer organization and supporting sales forecasting activities for owned accounts
  • Develop and maintain detailed account profiles including organizational charts for all accounts to be reviewed by management on a quarterly basis

Customer Engagement & Execution

  • Participate in client communications and ongoing account interactions
  • Help carry out account management strategies and tactics that drive continued business
  • Responsible for significant key partner relationship management and development. Facilitate executive-level relationships between the customer F5 and its partners including facilitating communication on strategic and tactical issues and maintaining continuity

CrossFunctional Collaboration

  • Partners with Sales Engineers Customer Success Managers and customer stakeholders to define sales requirements support account strategies deliver identified sales opportunities
  • Develops strategy for sustained management and success of business and coordinates resources to ensure goals are met
  • Partner with internal and external teams and channels to develop creative technical solutions to improve F5s footprint and Customer dependent on accounts
  • Responsible for upholding F5s Business Code of Ethics and for promptly reporting violations of the Code or other company policies
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

What Youll Bring:

  • BA/BS degree preferred or equivalent level of experience
  • 26 years of direct sales work experience in the IT industry has selling experience cover telecommunication or banking accounts coverage for both sectors will be a bonus
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills with proven ability in solution selling and presentation abilities
  • Advanced client interfacing and customer-focused approach
  • Demonstrated selling skills in a complex matrix environment
  • Demonstrates effective use of internal relationships and resources
  • Strong ability to effectively prioritize workload develop and lead pipeline and forecasting
