India (with frequent market travel)
Job Purpose
To lead and accelerate growth in the Powder Coatings business by exploring new markets developing new customer segments creating strong pipeline and driving strategic sales initiatives. This role will work closely with the Sales HODs and senior leadership to strengthen market presence improve conversions and expand business across industrial customers.
Key Responsibilities
Market Exploration & Business Growth
- Identify and explore new Powder Coating market opportunities across industries such as:
- Auto components appliances furniture metal fabrications architecture electrical panels pipelines general engineering etc.
- Map competitors market trends product demand and pricing benchmarks.
- Build a strategic market expansion plan aligned with business goals.
New Customer Acquisition & Pipeline Building
- Generate and manage strong pipeline of new customers (OEMs project accounts job coaters fabricators).
- Lead customer meetings technical discussions trials coordination and commercial closures.
- Drive conversions through proactive follow-ups and systematic opportunity tracking.
Key Account Management (Strategic)
- Support Sales HODs in managing high potential / high revenue accounts.
- Strengthen relationships with decision makers at CXO / Plant Head / Purchase / Production / Quality level.
Commercial Strategy & Coordination
- Work with internal stakeholders to ensure:
- Pricing approvals & profitability alignment
- Payment terms and credit control coordination
- Contract finalization and business retention actions
- Support preparation of RFQs proposals technical presentations and negotiation strategies.
Cross Functional Coordination
- Coordinate with Technical Services / R&D / Plant / SCM for:
- Product trials shade matching approvals
- Complaint resolution & service improvements
- Timely dispatch and order fulfilment
Business Reporting & Reviews
- Prepare and share periodic reports and updates to leadership on:
- Sales performance (volume/value)
- Pipeline status & conversion ratio
- Market insights and competitor updates
- Customer feedback and product improvement opportunities
Key Deliverables
- New customer acquisition & revenue growth
- Market penetration in targeted regions/segments
- Strong pipeline and opportunity closure
- Increased Powder Coatings business visibility with leadership and Sales HODs
Candidate Profile / Requirements
- Experience: 12 18 years in Sales/Business Development in Powder Coatings / Paint Industry
- Strong exposure to:
- Industrial sales channel management (if applicable)
- Job coaters / OEM sales
- Techno-commercial discussions and negotiations
- Must have strong network in Powder Coatings ecosystem
