Branch Manager

As the Branch Manager you will lead the overall operations and performance of the branch ensuring exceptional customer service strong sales performance and effective team leadership while maintaining alignment with company policies and strategic objectives.
Branch Operations & Performance Management
Oversee the daily operations of the branch ensuring activities are organized directed and evaluated in alignment with company policies and operational goals.
Monitor branch performance and implement strategies that improve efficiency productivity and customer satisfaction.
Maintain appropriate inventory levels by assessing stock requirements coordinating with materials control and overseeing regular inventory counts and reporting.
Sales & Business Development
Drive branch sales by developing new business opportunities while maintaining and expanding relationships with existing customers.
Prepare and communicate quotations product specifications and delivery timelines while ensuring accurate pricing and order fulfillment.
Proactively promote complementary or alternative products and leverage consultative selling techniques to maximize revenue opportunities.
Monitor market trends competitive activity and new product introductions to support sales planning and strategic growth.
Customer Service & Technical Support
Serve as a key point of contact for customers resolving issues and providing expert guidance on product applications and technical specifications.
Ensure sales orders are received processed and entered accurately while coordinating with warehouse and logistics teams to meet delivery requirements.
Follow up on direct shipments customer returns and order fulfillment to ensure timely delivery and accurate billing.
Team Leadership & Staff Development
Lead mentor and motivate branch staff while fostering a collaborative and high-performance team culture.
Manage staffing levels by recruiting interviewing onboarding and training employees as required.
Conduct employee performance reviews provide coaching and development opportunities and ensure clear expectations for team members.
Financial Oversight & Strategic Planning
Assist in preparing the annual branch budget and sales forecasts while monitoring financial performance against targets.
Analyze operational and sales data to identify opportunities for improvement and recommend corrective actions when needed.
Prepare and present reports related to sales performance inventory levels and operational metrics.
Compliance Safety & Company Standards
Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and company policies including health and safety employment standards and payroll regulations.
Participate in the companys health and safety program while ensuring all staff adhere to established safety guidelines.
Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards in all business activities.
To succeed in this role candidates should demonstrate:
College diploma in Sales Marketing Business Administration or a related discipline is preferred.
58 years of experience in inside sales or customer service preferably in an industrial distribution environment.
Minimum of 3 years of management experience with direct supervisory responsibility.
Industry knowledge in fire protection plumbing and heating or industrial pipe and fitting products is highly valued.
A combination of education and relevant experience will also be considered.
Strong computer proficiency with Microsoft Word Excel Outlook and web-based business applications.
Mechanical aptitude and the ability to read and interpret blueprints is considered an asset.
Familiarity with inventory management systems and order processing workflows.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate mentor and develop high-performing teams.
Excellent communication negotiation and problem-solving abilities.
Strong analytical and mathematical skills to support pricing costing and operational decisions.
Self-motivated and highly organized with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
