Who are we looking for
  • You are a qualified chartered accountant with a strong and proven track record in the construction industry.
  • You are experienced in project costing budget management and financial reporting within a fast-paced construction environment.
  • You are commercially astute with a deep understanding of contract revenue recognition and project profitability tracking.
  • You are compliance-driven with solid knowledge of tax regulations statutory reporting and accounting standards.
  • You are analytically strong able to provide management with clear financial insights and project viability assessments.
  • You are mature confident and able to operate at a senior level with minimal supervision.
  • You are someone who has come from a top construction firm and brings with you the standards and discipline that environment demands.
Your Responsibilities
Project Financial Management
  • You will prepare and monitor project budgets and cost control systems to ensure financial discipline across all sites.
  • You will track project profitability and cash flow providing timely updates and alerts where necessary.
  • You will monitor contract revenue recognition to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
  • You will support management with financial analysis and project viability assessments to inform key decisions.
Accounting and Reporting
  • You will oversee all accounting functions financial reporting and management accounts preparation.
  • You will prepare accurate and timely financial statements in line with regulatory and internal requirements.
  • You will ensure full tax compliance and statutory reporting with zero tolerance for penalties or lapses.
What Success looks like
  • Project budgets are prepared accurately and monitored consistently with cost variances identified and addressed early.
  • Cash flow is well managed across all projects ensuring no financial disruptions to operations.
  • Full tax and statutory compliance is maintained at all times with no penalties or regulatory issues.
  • Management receives clear timely and insightful financial reports that support sound decision-making.
  • Project profitability is tracked effectively contributing to improved financial performance across the organisation.
To be considered for this role you should have
  • A Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field.
  • A Chartered Accountant qualification is mandatory (ICAN ACCA or equivalent).
  • A minimum of 5 to 8 years of experience in financial management with at least 5 years in a top construction firm.
  • Strong expertise in project costing budgeting and financial reporting within the construction industry.
  • Solid knowledge of tax compliance statutory reporting and accounting standards.
  • Excellent analytical communication and decision-making skills.
