Job Summary

SALARY: $12/Hour

DESCRIPTION OF WORK:

This position provides support for facilities with the following essential functions: plans inspects participates in general facility maintenance involving landscaping athletic field maintenance electrical carpentry painting mechanical plumbing grounds improvement projects pest control and preventive maintenance on equipment and facilities. Selected candidate will operate trucks tractors mowers field machines and other mechanical equipment as needed.

A working knowledge of the methods materials tools and equipment used in facility maintenance and repair; knowledge of hazards and safety precautions associated with type of work assigned; pertinent inspection and safety requirements; skill in the use of hand and power tools of the trade; ability to recognize and diagnose problems; ability to make time and materials estimates; ability to follow oral and written instructions; ability to work from sketches blueprints and drawings; ability to maintain records; and ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates are requirements.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or equivalent; relative experience in maintenance landscaping and construction trade or equivalent combination of education and experience and a valid NC drivers license are required.
