Overview
Seeking a flexible Respiratory Therapist (RRT or CRT) or Registered Nurse (RN) to provide per-diem support across Northern Arizonas vast 15000-square-mile service area. This unique opportunity allows you to create your own schedule while supporting critical patient care needs in a beautiful mountain community.
Work Environment
This per-diem role involves flexible scheduling with opportunities to support patient equipment setups primarily for respiratory assist devices NIV and invasive ventilation. Youll work independently across a large territory responding to patient requirements with clinical expertise and compassion. Preferred schedule includes Friday coverage with flexible additional days.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments
Provide equipment education and setup (location-based and in-home)
Monitor respiratory equipment function
Perform ventilator and respiratory equipment setups
Provide on-call coverage for ventilator exchanges and setups
Communicate patient findings to physicians
Maintain accurate documentation
Work with geriatric population
Navigate diverse geographic and weather conditions
Qualifications
Required:
Active RRT CRT or RN licensure in Arizona
Valid drivers license with clean driving record
High school diploma or GED equivalent
Strong clinical assessment skills
Excellent communication abilities
Ability to work independently in rural settings
Flexibility with scheduling
Comfort working with geriatric population
Preferred:

At least one year of relevant clinical experience
Experience with invasive and non-invasive ventilation
Familiarity with medical terminology
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift and transport patient equipment (minimum 65 lbs)
Regular contact with patients and equipment may involve exposure to contagious pathogens
Must be able to sit stand walk talk and listen for extended periods
Requires close vision for reading small print on screens and paperwork
Must comply with Respiratory Protection & N95 Mask Fit Testing Policy including:
Medical evaluation and fit testing
Annual recertification
Maintaining a clean-shaven face for proper mask seal per OSHA guidelines
