Job Description:

If you are motivated to begin a career in design the CAD-IOs team at Microchip is offering an internship opportunity in IOs cell design. This internship will be conducted within an experienced and dynamic team providing you with the ideal environment to develop the skills necessary for a successful professional career. You will have the chance to contribute to real development projects involving IOs for various functions and technologies working under the guidance of industry experts. Additionally you will gain valuable experience in an international setting collaborating with colleagues from different countries.

Job Responsibilities:

• Design and optimization of IOs Cells circuits
• Perform electrical simulations using simulators such as Hspice or Spectre
• Layout sub-blocks of IOs Cells
• Characterization and modeling of IOs Cells

Requirements/Qualifications:

• CMOS circuit design circuit simulation design verification modeling of Digital Libraries understanding of digital circuits
• Knowledge of Cadence IC design tools would be a plus
• Programming in scripting languages (shell Tcl Perl Python ...) would be a plus
• Ability to learn new technical skills and work in a fast paced results oriented team environment
• Currently enrolled as a 3rd year student in Electronics or Electrical Engineering
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English
