Job Summary

Minuteman High School is seeking a qualified BBQ Advisor for the school year. This is a stipend position with responsibilities and compensation detailed below.Major Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the Director of Career and Technical Education regarding any BBQ club activities.
Recruit Minuteman students to participate in the BBQ club.
Introduce students to recipes including rubs sauces and various meats.
Instruct students in the craft of BBQ cooking.
Assist students in preparing and serving BBQ and planning upcoming events.
Coordinate student club members to work any required community events.
Coordinate with staff members to assist with planning meetings and outreach.
Compete with other BBQ teams in local competitions and events.
Invite guest speakers in person or via TEAMS to speak with club members.
Complete an approved Program of Work.
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Self-motivated; ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Experienced in developing and providing training opportunities for BBQ Club students.
Ability to communicate effectively in writing in person through email and on the telephone.
Ability to coordinate school-wide events and competitions requiring menu planning.

Additional Requirements:

This position includes but is not limited to: interacting with the public walking around the school standing for periods occasionally lifting and carrying items reading documents using a computer listening and speaking using office equipment maintaining energy throughout the day and handling stress effectively.

Terms of Employment:

Stipend Position.

Effective Dates of Employment:

This is a stipend position for the 2026-2027 school year.
The person who fills this position will be the contact for any relevant and important information prior to the start of the school year.

Supervisor:

Director of Career and Technical Education.

Compensation:

The total stipend for this position is $2253 for the entire assignment.
