The engineering manager role would lead Aero Thermal Clearances Design & Systems (ATCDS) provides strategical and technical leader for team within Gas Turbine Engineering & Sciences (GTES) organization at Bangalore. The role involves aerodynamics heat transfer clearances and operability design & development for Gas Turbine products in Gas Power this role engineering manager will drive his or her team members to achieve annual GTES priorities through high level of operational rigor and technical excellence. He or She will engage with team on routine basis to solve complex or critical issues which needs broader discussions and support from adjacent this role the engineering manager needs to have excellent leadership skills to develop coach every individual in his/her team to have successful career in GE Vernova.

Roles and Responsibilities
The engineering manager demonstrates leadership in communicating ATCDS team needs to his/her team and in driving culture of continuous improvement and collaboration to deliver better value for product and this role He or She will utilize his/her experience or expertise to lead and solve problems develop and execute objectives for self and others and have ability to effect short-term and some long-term business goals of GTES organization.
- Enables his/her team to execute and evaluate design using excellent engineering principles and adhering to business standards practices procedures and product / program requirements.
- Provide hands-on support to team based on critical stage of the design or during product development/implementation phase.
- Handle critical design meetings with excellent technical preparation and with good insight on physics and through past best practices.
- Provide strong coordination between the systems product line sciences PDE ADT and chief engineer office organizations during the project execution phase to meet product CTQs.
- Keep strong connections within every module team in other global sites to leverage best practices and to review key design decisions as one engineering community.
- Available to take customer or field site visits for key systems aerothermal clearances tests which is critical to business.
- Drive document technical data generated by the team for assigned project consistent with engineering policies and procedures.
- Develop continuous improvement road map for product people process and technology to drive product differentiation in the market.
- Provide timely communications on significant issues or developments to broader ATCDS engineers and GTES leadership teams.
- Develop and coach every team member to achieve their career interest in short and long term.
- Participate along with team to address organizational initiatives and generic issues.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelors degree in engineering discipline from accredited university
- 10 years experience in engineering power generation design/services or testing.
- Proven experienceas an engineering leader with a track record of successfully managing and scaling engineering teams. Minimum 5 years of team or project or resource management experience
- Strong test article development & instrumentation experience of gas turbine or turbomachinery components.
- Strong leadership behaviors and ability to interface effectively with all levels of a global organization and external customers
- Excellentleadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams
- Hands on experience with turbomachinery design tools and familiar with gas power tollgate review process.
Desired Characteristics
- Strong oral and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects.
- Ability to document plan market and execute programs. Established project management skills.
- MS or Ph.D. engineering degree in Mechanical or Energy or Thermal or Materials Engineering/Technology
- Familiarity with project management tools and lifecycle management
- Consistently demonstrates rig design & testing creativity and problem-solving capabilities
- Displays strong interpersonal influencing collaborative mentoring and leadership skills
- Demonstrates ability to lead programs / projects. Ability to document plan market and execute programs.
- Should be a change agent. Early creator or adaptor of technology by following industry trends
- Anticipates internal and external customer needs and ensures that they are met. Measures processes and performance through the customers eye.
