About NSW Early Learning Commission

This role sits within the NSW Early Learning Commission which began operation as the independent regulator for early childhood education and care (ECEC) in New South Wales on 1 December 2025.

We are responsible for regulating over 6000 ECEC services across NSW to ensure they meet stringent standards of safety quality and compliance. We oversee these services to protect childrens health safety and development through rigorous ongoing assessments and compliance monitoring.

About the role

As the Enquiry Officer your role responds to routine enquiries and assists with the provision of information to the early childhood education and care sector and other stakeholders. As a detail-oriented professional you will manage complaint registrations statutory notifications and maintain accurate service records. You will also provide timely and accurate information to support senior officers and ensure compliance with GIPA requests subpoenas and other operational matters.

About you

  • Experience in a customer service environment
  • Great organisational skills and be able to work under pressure and prioritise tasks in a high-volume environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Sound problem solving abilities
  • Able to speak confidently with stakeholders customers & leadership.
  • Ability to understand legislation and policy and able to communicate it effectively

Essential requirements of the role

  • A valid Working with Children Check clearance.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the commitments and priorities of Early Learning Commission
