500-600 births/year
Very flexible scheduling- 7 24-hour shifts/month
Level II NICU staffed24 hoursby Pediatric Hospitalists&NICU Nurses with access to an on-site blood bank.
Teaching opportunity- FM Residents(in L&D 24/7)& Medical Students
In-house specialists available for consultation/collaboration in patient care i.e. Cardiology Orthopedics Reconstructive Surgery Anesthesiology etc.

QUALIFICATIONS:Graduate of a medical/osteopathic medical school is. Demonstrated competency as a physician bycompletion ofan appropriate residencyprogram;board certified or board eligible. Must be able to obtain Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa medical staff privileges. Above average communication skills. Ability to work with a team. Licensed or eligible for State of Iowaphysician license;Iowa Controlled Substance Certificate and Federal DEA Certificate.
