Job Title: Field Service Technician (FST)

Reports To: National Field Service Manager
Compensation Target: $75k (flexible for great candidate)
Travel: Approximately 95% (mostly local)

Position Summary

The Field Service Technician (FST) is responsible for installing troubleshooting repairing and maintaining RAS Systems CNC and metal forming equipment at customer sites. This role requires strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills the ability to work independently in the field and clear technical documentation.

This position includes a site-focused assignment supporting two primary customer locations in Oklahoma City OK and Wichita KS with occasional additional travel to support other customers as needed. Candidates must live within regional travel distance to both locations. The role requires weekday on-site presence staying in a hotel during the week and returning home on weekends.

Minimum & Mandatory Qualifications

• Completion of a 2-year Mechanical or Trade School or 4 years of relevant in-field service experience.

• Field service experience involving mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repair of industrial equipment.

• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings electrical schematics and equipment manuals.

• Hands-on experience using mechanical electrical and diagnostic tools in a service environment.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills for customer interaction and service reporting.

Bonus Qualifications (Not Required)

• Strong with 3D CAD software like AutoCAD.

• Sheet metal and/or fabrication experience.

• Prior experience as a machine operator or providing technical support hands-on.

• Multilingual capabilities (Spanish French or German).

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot diagnose and repair CNC and metal forming equipment at customer sites.

• Perform mechanical electrical and software-related service activities including repairs and modifications.

• Support equipment installation startup checkout testing and functional validation.

• Serve as the primary on-site technical resource for assigned customer locations.

• Train customer personnel on proper equipment operation and preventative maintenance.

• Document service activities machine conditions and work performed through service reports.

• Communicate technical findings and service status with internal teams as required.
