The Capital Projects Analyst reports to the Coordinator or designate by providing financial and administrative support to the portfolio by preparing and reconciling complex cost and statistical data for capital projects; performing duties such as preparing budget documentation reviewing contractor invoices and claims calculating project charges analyzing financial statistics and maintaining related records. Performs confidential administrative support duties by using word processing database presentation spreadsheet and project tracking software tools.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education Training And Experience
A level of education training and experience equivalent to completion of the second level of the CGA or RIA accounting programs plus three to five years progressively responsible related experience in a large complex organization.
Skills And Abilities
- Demonstrated knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Demonstrated knowledge of statistical analysis.
- Excellent oral/written and presentation skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to organize workload and priorities to ensure deadlines are met.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to function effectively within a team environment.
- Ability to type at 55 wpm.
- Demonstrated proficiency in current personal computer hardware and software technologies including computerized accounting systems and procedures.
