Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and passionate CDP / Sous Chef to support daily kitchen operations and maintain high culinary standards. The ideal candidate will have strong operational experience leadership capabilities and a keen eye for food quality cost control and team development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily kitchen operations ensuring dishes are prepared accurately consistently and delivered promptly during service.
  • Manage food cost performance by minimizing wastage monitoring portion control and optimizing ingredient usage.
  • Conduct regular quality checks and make real-time adjustments to uphold culinary standards.
  • Oversee stock control and inventory management to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
  • Support purchasing and receiving processes ensuring quality and compliance of all deliveries.
  • Enforce food safety hygiene and sanitation standards including proper storage and handling practices.
  • Maintain a clean organized and well-maintained kitchen environment.
  • Prepare and manage staff rosters to ensure optimal manpower planning.
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef on menu development and seasonal offerings.
  • Lead kitchen training initiatives and ensure team competency.
  • Monitor staff performance and provide coaching to maintain operational excellence.
  • Represent the kitchen in management meetings conduct daily briefings and support strong team communication.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a CDP Sous Chef or similar kitchen leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of kitchen operations food safety standards and inventory management.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining consistency and quality.
  • Good leadership communication and team management skills.
  • Passion for culinary innovation and continuous improvement.
