Job Summary

Join a dynamic education team as a Simulation Coordinator / Educator (part-time 0.4 EFT) shaping the future of clinical practice.

Play a key role in delivering highquality simulationbased and translational simulation education across Epworth HealthCare. Working with educators clinicians and external partners youll design and deliver interprofessional simulation programs that build workforce capability improve systems and processes and enhance patient safety.

Youll support the governance and delivery of simulation education through coaching and mentoring advanced technical support in simulation suites coordination of resources and contribution to accreditation evaluation and simulationbased research including procedural skills training for undergraduate medical students. You will report to the Director of Clinical Education and Simulation.

Shape highimpact simulation and translational education partnering with clinicians and educators to build workforce capability and advance patient safety across Epworth HealthCare.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Demonstrated experience supporting clinical education or simulation activities.
  • Knowledge of the design delivery and evaluation of clinical education and training activities within a healthcare setting.
  • Understanding of patient safety risk management and confidentiality requirements.
  • Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
  • Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Clinical background (e.g. nursing allied health paramedicine) or technical simulation background.
  • Sound computer literacy and technical capability including the use of digital systems and simulation-related technologies.
  • Ability to apply innovative and resourceful approaches to work with an understanding of how to anticipate and manage changing or competing priorities.

Qualifications :

Essential

  • Current health professional registration with AHPRA

Desirable

  • Certificate or formal training in healthcare simulation.
  • Postgraduate clinical specialty qualifications eg: Anaesthetics ICU or Emergency.
  • Cert IV in Training & Assessment.
