Job Summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Sales Assistant to join our dynamic team in Gainsborough United Kingdom. As a Sales Assistant you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and contributing to the overall success of our retail operation.
- Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner ensuring a positive shopping experience
- Demonstrate in-depth product knowledge and provide expert advice to customers
- Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently
- Maintain a clean tidy and well-organised sales floor
- Assist with stock management including receiving unpacking and replenishing merchandise
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets and maintain high standards of customer service
- Participate in visual merchandising to create attractive product displays
- Handle customer inquiries complaints and returns in a courteous and efficient manner
- Stay informed about promotions special offers and new product arrivals
- Contribute to a positive work environment by demonstrating a can-do attitude and supporting colleagues
Qualifications :
- Proven experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexibly including weekends and peak trading periods
- Strong initiative and self-motivation
- Team player with a collaborative approach
- Basic numeracy skills for handling transactions and stock management
- Keen attention to detail and ability to maintain a tidy work environment
- Enthusiasm for providing outstanding customer service
- Willingness to learn about products and stay updated on new arrivals
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and assist with stock movement
- GCSE or equivalent qualifications (desirable)
