Oversees curriculum development instructional materials selection and textbook adoption in collaboration with administrators and faculty.4. Ensures all district curriculum is reviewed and approved by the School Committee in accordance with district policies and educational goals.5. Stays current with educational research best practices and innovations in curriculum and instruction and leads the implementation of appropriate instructional strategies and Data and Student Achievement1. Oversees the collection analysis interpretation and presentation of student achievement and assessment data.2. Identifies district strengths and areas for growth and develops data-informed recommendations to improve instruction and student outcomes.3. Provides leadership for intervention programs and specialized instruction including services for Multilingual Learners (MLLs).Equity Access and Specialized Programs1. Oversees the districts Multilingual Learner (MLL) program ensuring equitable access to curriculum resources and instructional supports.2. Ensures educational programs meet the needs of all learners including students requiring specialized instruction and curriculum and instructional initiatives and changes for the School Committee staff families and community members.3. Oversees all requests related to students experiencing homelessness and serves as the Districts Homelessness Development1. Leads the planning implementation and evaluation of a comprehensive multi-faceted professional development program for administrators certified staff and non-certified staff.2. Supports staff in the development and effective use of curriculum documents and instructional resources.3. Oversees the districts Educator Evaluation System in accordance with state regulations and district Student Services and Compliance1. Oversees districtwide student registration processes.2. Supervises and provides leadership for the districts truancy and residency officers including management of attendance and residency compliance.3. Reviews home instruction applications and makes recommendations to the School Committee.4. Collaborates with the Director of Facilities to support effective and efficient daily district operations.5. Oversees the districts technology department and the implementation and use of data-management systems to support instruction and Budget and Strategic Planning1. Oversees all district grants including preparation implementation monitoring and reporting to ensure alignment with instructional priorities and compliance with all local state and federal requirements.2. Assists the Superintendent in the development and coordination of the budget related to curriculum instruction professional development and instructional technology.3. Supports the implementation and monitoring of the Districts Strategic Plan and state and federal and Governance1. Works collaboratively with the Superintendent School Committee administrators faculty and community members to develop and advance the districts instructional vision goals and policies.2. Assists the Superintendent in evaluating school and district operations related to curriculum instruction and professional learning.3. Serves as the Districts representative to county state and national curriculum-related organizations and committees.4. Serves as Acting Superintendent in the absence of the DEMANDS: 1.
