DescriptionSUMMARY
The National Director Critical Environment leads a national team of Critical Environment (CE) Specialists and is accountable for the implementation and ongoing management of the corporate critical environments general the critical environment team will be an integral part of the Client Business Group (CBG). The National Director is responsible for achieving implementation of the critical environment program as needed in each CBG and then on an ongoing basis providing stewardship and leadership of the overall program.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the critical environment management team to identify all areas within the CBGs that meet the critieria of critical environments and provide leadership in ensuring the CBGs meet the current requirements of BGIS critical environment program.
- Provide leadership to the critical environment team members to meet the uptime objectives of the client facilities through management of all operations and maintenance - leveraging information technology resources and processes while delivering cost effective services.
- Work in cooperation with site management client teams and/or subcontractors to implement robust operations and maintenance strategy.
- Work closely with BGIS critical environment team. Research develop and deploy industry best practices.
- Ensure that all personnel associated with the critical site are trained and competent and will perform daily in a well planned executed fashion sharing in the sense of urgency surrounding mission critical operations and facilities.
- Will direct and manage the implementation of the BGIS global critical environments program focused on robust processes and risk reduction.
- Provide leadership advice and expertise to meet all service level agreements and key performance indicators.
- Maintain and manage the critical environment strategy in cooperation with the customers team and/or critical subcontractors.
- Develop and implement the critical environment awareness and programs pertaining to operations procedure development(EOP SOP) document management protocols capacity planning change management risk mitigation support disaster recovery support incident reporting point of delivery analysis.
- Establish goals and objectives for the national critical environment team.
- Act as the national representative with the client on matters regarding critical environment standards and maintenance practices.
- Provide overall guidance for the development and management analysis of operational plans including management reporting and forecasting.
- Direct the quality assurance program and ensure delivery of services meet or exceed the requirements set out in the statement of work of the various contracts and comply with internal BGIS policies and standard operating procedures.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients.
- Provide operational and infrastructure risk assessments for critical environments as part of an ongoing risk reductions process.
- Investigate and determine root cause of equipment failures.
- Provide recommendations to clients for upgrading equipment and maintenance routines to reduce the risk of unplanned outages.
- Serve as the companys expert representative at industry conferences and seminars.
- Research through various networks for technological changes and industry best practices.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
- 10 or more years experience in mission critical facilities and operations with a focus on data centres andor the telecommunications industry.
- University graduation or professional certification (e.g. P. Eng CMA CGA or equivalent courses)
- Experienced and proficient at influencing and directing others. Strong leadership skills.
- Excellent business management/development skills.
- Excellent at planning and organizing.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Knowledge of Brookfield Global Integrated Solutions building standards and requirements.
- Knowledge of mission critical procedures reliability programs and policies.
- Extensive knowledge of industry best practices relating to mission critical infrastructure.
- Ability to implement & deploy critical facilities risk management programs
Licenses and/or Professional Accreditation
This is a regular full-time position with a salary range of $129682 - $162103 per annum. The starting salary will be based on the successful candidates competencies including but not limited to experience education professional designations and performance related to this role.
