Job Summary
The Senior Associate Director IT Data Modelling and Reporting will report to IT Head of Reporting & Analytics and work closely with leadership in IT Operations and Product Management team to elevate firm data modelling and reporting & analytics capability on MUFG Data Hub including but not limited to:
- Data Modelling & Architecture: Design and maintain conceptual logical and physical data models for investment accounting focusing on transactional holding and valuation data (Investran Geneva Mantra Yardi).
- System Integration Support: Work closely with Data Engineering team to Map data from varied systems into a standardized data model ensuring structural integrity and handling complex public market data and non-standardized private market data.
- Accounting Systems Expertise: Work closely with platforms like Investran or Geneva to understand GL structures capital calls distributions and performance calculations to build robust data structures.
- Performance & Reporting Models: Create models optimized for portfolio analytics performance attribution and investor reporting.
- SQL Optimization: Develop complex SQL queries and support ETL processes ensuring high-performance data loading and transformation.
- Data Governance: Define data definitions lineage and metadata standards to ensure data quality and auditability.

Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- 10 years of experience in data modelling and reporting; experience in financial services with a focus on investment management private equity / Hedge funds is preferred.
- 3 years of leadership experience in a reporting and analytics role.
- Proficiency in programming languages or tools like SQL Python or R.
- Experience on Databricks Snowflake or Amazon Redshift (AWS) etc cloud data platforms.
- Experience of working on various investment reporting systems like Geneva Mantra Investran Yardi etc.
- Familiar with data visualization tools (PowerBI Tableau).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to present complex data to non-technical audience.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced results driven environment.
