Job Summary

  • Lead a high impact national sales function with end-to-end accountability for driving performance accelerating incremental revenue growth and expanding market share across the Australian freight portfolio.  
  • This is a highly visible customer facing leadership role with direct influence on commercial outcomes and long-term customer partnerships.

The National Sales Manager Australia Freight leads a high performing sales function comprising a team of Client Account Managers with accountability for revenue performance across Strategic Development and SME customers in Australia. The role is responsible for delivering sustained revenue growth across the portfolio developing and executing national sales strategies and ensuring the sales organisation is operating in performance mode and are actively engaged in market. Operating as a senior commercial leader this role is hands on with key customers supports complex deal closure and acts as a critical escalation point for major commercial negotiations. 

Working closely with Marketing & Communications Performance & Planning and Customer Service the National Sales Manager ensures sales strategies are tightly aligned to broader business objectives. The role requires a strong inmarket presence supporting with regular customer engagement to build trust unlock growth opportunities and resolve complex commercial issues. As a visible leader you will work for and alongside the sales team on priority opportunities supporting negotiations removing barriers and driving performance through coaching accountability and results. 

Youll have  

  • Minimum 10 years experience in a senior sales leadership role within a complex competitive commercial environment. 
  • Relevant professional qualification with tertiary qualifications in Business Aviation Commerce or Supply Chain (or equivalent experience). 
  • Extensive experience leading complex sales teams across strategic selling account management contract negotiation and business planning. 
  • Proven success driving incremental revenue growth and portfolio performance through active customer engagement. 
  • Demonstrated experience operating as a senior commercial escalation point for customers including complex negotiations and deal closure. 
  • Strong inmarket presence with the ability to build credibility and longterm valuedriven relationships with customers and partners. 
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver outcomes within a complex matrixed business environment. 
  • Strong commercial acumen and highly effective negotiation influencing and people leadership capability.
