Summary

An Program Manager is responsible for overseeing multiple related projects to achieve strategic business objectives. This role ensures alignment with organizational priorities manages resources and budgets across initiatives and provides executive-level visibility into program performance risks and outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Define program objectives scope success metrics and governance structures aligned with business strategy.
Oversee multiple project managers and cross-functional teams to ensure coordinated execution of all initiatives.
Coordinate resources budgets and timelines across projects to maximize efficiency and value delivery.
Monitor program performance milestones and KPIs providing regular status reports to executive leadership.
Identify program-level risks dependencies and issues and implement proactive mitigation strategies.
Ensure all projects adhere to approved timelines budgets quality standards and compliance requirements.
Facilitate stakeholder communication alignment and decision-making across business and IT leadership.
Establish and enforce program governance frameworks standards and best practices.
Drive change management activities to support business adoption of program deliverables.
Resolve conflicts remove roadblocks and ensure alignment across all project teams.
Manage vendor relationships contracts and third-party service providers as needed.
Oversee financial planning forecasting and cost optimization across the program portfolio.
Conduct program reviews benefits realization assessments and executive presentations.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance program delivery efficiency and governance.
Align program outcomes with long-term organizational strategy and digital transformation goals.
Mentor and develop project and program managers to build leadership capability and delivery excellence.

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Information Technology Business Administration or a related field.
7 years of experience in IT program management or senior-level project management.
Proven leadership experience managing large complex multi-project initiatives.
Strong knowledge of program management frameworks governance models and enterprise delivery methods.
Excellent strategic thinking organizational and decision-making abilities.

Preferred Skills / Duties

Program and project management certifications such as PgMP PMP or Agile/Scrum certifications.
Experience managing enterprise-level IT programs digital transformation initiatives or large-scale system implementations.
Strong communication executive presentation and stakeholder management skills.
Expertise in financial management portfolio planning and resource optimization.
Ability to mentor coach and develop project and program management teams.
