Landers Ford is hiring an experienced Automotive General Sales Manager (GSM) to oversee all aspects of new and pre-owned vehicle sales operations. This is a senior leadership role responsible for sales performance gross profit inventory strategy desking team development and process execution.
This is not a desk-only position. The right candidate will be hands-on performance-driven and actively engaged in daily sales operations coaching and deal structure.

Valid drivers license required
Lead all new and used vehicle sales operations
Manage Sales Managers and Sales Consultants to meet volume and gross objectives
Desk and structure deals to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction
Monitor and improve closing ratios CSI scores and inventory turn
Oversee inventory acquisition pricing strategy and aging control
Ensure proper CRM usage lead follow-up and appointment processes
Work closely with F&I to optimize product penetration and funding
Drive accountability through daily performance tracking and coaching
Recruit train and develop high-performing sales professionals
Maintain compliance with all manufacturer and dealership policies
3 years of automotive sales management experience required
Previous General Sales Manager or Senior Sales Manager experience preferred
Proven track record of hitting volume and gross profit targets
Strong leadership and team development skills
Deep understanding of dealership inventory management and desking strategy
Experience with CRM systems and performance tracking tools
Ability to operate in a high-volume fast-paced environment
Strong negotiation and communication skills
Valid drivers license with clean driving record
Established high-volume Ford dealership
Strong market presence in the Memphis metro area
