Kendrick Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of a luxury private game reserve in Hoedspruit for an experienced Maintenance Manager to oversee all maintenance operations and ensure the property is maintained to the highest standards.
This is a hands-on role suited to a technically skilled and organised individual with experience in remote or luxury hospitality environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee all maintenance operations across the reserve including lodges staff accommodation infrastructure and equipment
Implement and manage preventative maintenance programmes
Respond promptly to breakdowns and emergency maintenance issues
Supervise and manage maintenance staff and external contractors
Ensure compliance with health safety and environmental regulations
Manage maintenance budgets stock control and procurement
Conduct regular inspections to maintain luxury standards
Liaise with senior management regarding upgrades and long-term maintenance planning
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Maintenance Manager or similar role within a lodge hotel or luxury hospitality environment
Strong technical knowledge of electrical plumbing mechanical and general building maintenance
Experience working in a bush or remote location advantageous
Strong leadership organisational and problem-solving skills
Valid drivers licence
