Job Summary

Introduction

Our client a leading mining services provider delivering reliable underground and surface mining solutions across South Africa is seeking a qualified and experienced Site Manager to join their dynamic team to oversee operations at their Randfondtein site. This role is ideal for a strong leader with extensive site management experience particularly in heavy equipment / yellow equipment environments and a proven ability to drive safety efficiency and operational excellence.

Duties & Responsibilities

Implement quality control measures for all equipment.
Ensure adherence to company Policy and Procedures.
Manage workshop repairs testing and failure analysis.
Implement the maintenance management system effectively ensuring all processes are followed.
Maintain a safe working environment.
Oversee assembly maintenance and refurbishment of mining equipment.
Provide continuous training to staff and new employees.
Compile and communicate product performance data.
Supervise and manage artisans to ensure quality work and adherence to safety standards.
Ensure adherence to health and safety environment quality and housekeeping in section.
Comply with (Occupational Health and Safety Act) OHSA and (Mine Health and Safety Act) MHSA standards ensure that installations comply with statutory regulations conform to safety standards and planned maintenance system requirements.
Manage assets and workshop employees.

Coordinate with plant operators contractors and internal teams to ensure smooth operations.
Monitor the performance of equipment and machinery ensuring proper functioning and minimal downtime.
Lead a team of on-site personnel ensuring efficient use of resources and delivering quality service.
Implement and oversee preventative maintenance programs to minimize equipment breakdowns.
Liaise with clients to ensure project requirements and timelines are met.

Desired Experience & Qualification

5 years minimum experience in a previous supervisory role within the mining industry in yellow equipment / heavy equipment
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in mining operations.
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve site-related issues efficiently.
Matric / Grade 12.
Project Management and/or Engineering qualification.
