The College of Health and Wellness Professionals at St. Cloud University invites applications for Tenure-Track (Probationary) position in Recreation and Sports Management in the Department of Kinesiology Community Health and Gerontology.
A typical faculty workload responsibility may include up to twenty-four (24) credits of instruction per academic year.
The successful candidate will collaborate with colleagues in curriculum design instruction and evaluation conduct and mentor students in research help create innovative strategies for student recruitment retention and completion and may be expected to develop grant funding opportunities.
May be expected to develop and delivery face-to-face hybrid and on instruction at the St. Cloud State campus or online.
All faculty members are expected to engage in scholarly or creative activity or research in continuing preparation and study in contribution to student growth and development and providing service to the university and community (See Article 22 and Appendix G of the IFO Master Agreement.
The position will serve as the Sports Management Graduate Program Director.
The position will assist in the program coordination of the Recreation and Sports Management Undergraduate program and Athletic Coaching minor.
The position will supervise work study and graduate assistants.
The candidate may need to teach in other areas as assigned and qualified
Salary Range: $64963.00 - $188620.00 annually
Minimum Qualifications
PhD/EdD in Sports Management Higher Education & Leadership or other closely related Kinesiology area.
Masters degree in Sports Management or other Kinesiology related field.
A minimum of three (3) years working in collegiate athletics as an administrator and/or a head coach within the last ten years.
A minimum of three (3) years teaching at the higher education level in recreation and sports management undergraduate courses and sports management graduate courses.
Experience as a Graduate Program Director and teaching Sports Management undergraduate and graduate courses.
Demonstrated ability to teach at the undergraduate and/or graduate levels both online and face-to-face settings.
Demonstrated experience with student advising internship supervision and/or curriculum development.
Demonstrate effective written oral communication and/or presentation skills.
Demonstrate a commitment to fostering a diverse working and learning-centered environment.
Preferred Qualification
Five (5) or more years experience as an NCAA head coach and/or athletic administrator
Student-centered approach to education and a commitment to helping grow and recruit students to the recreation and sports management athletic coaching undergraduate programs and the Sports Management graduate program
Experience with in-person hybrid and/or online instruction
Experience in mentoring and advising undergraduate and/or graduate students
Experience in overseeing internship and practicum experiences.
Demonstrated commitment to departmental university and professional service
Demonstrate ability to develop community partnerships for student practicum and internship experience.

First Aid/CPR/AED Certified
