Job Description: IBDP Visual Arts
Location:Ansal Sushant Golf City Lucknow
The IBDP Visual Arts Teacher is responsible for delivering the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) Visual Arts curriculum fostering students creative critical and conceptual development while guiding them through studio practice art-making processes and assessment requirements in line with IB standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the IBDP Visual Arts Guide
- Support students in developing their art-making practice visual arts journal comparative study and exhibition
- Guide students in exploring a range of media techniques and concepts
- Assess student work using IB assessment criteria and provide constructive feedback
- Prepare students for internal and external assessments
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and assessment evidence
- Create a safe inclusive and stimulating studio environment
- Integrate art history theory and contemporary practices into teaching
- Encourage independent thinking experimentation and reflection
- Collaborate with IB coordinators and participate in curriculum planning
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress
- Participate in school events exhibitions and professional development including IB training
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Fine Arts / Visual Arts / Art Education
- IBDP Visual Arts teaching experience preferred (or strong willingness to undergo IB training)
- Strong knowledge of IB assessment criteria and portfolio requirements
- Ability to mentor students through long-term process-based projects
- Proficiency in a variety of art media and techniques
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Commitment to the IB Learner Profile and inquiry-based learning
Preferred:
- IB-certified or IB workshoptrained teacher
- Experience with student exhibitions and curating art displays
