Job Summary
Job Role: IBDP (Biology/ESS)
Location: Lucknow
Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and qualified IBDP Biology & ESS Teacher to deliver engaging inquiry-based instruction in line with the IB Diploma Programme. The teacher will foster scientific thinking environmental awareness and practical skills while preparing students for internal and external IB assessments.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach IBDP Biology (SL/HL) and ESS (SL) as per IB guidelines
- Plan and deliver inquiry-based and concept-driven lessons
- Guide students in Internal Assessments (IA) experiments and fieldwork
- Develop students analytical research and scientific writing skills
- Integrate interdisciplinary and real-world environmental issues into teaching
- Conduct practical laboratory work ensuring safety standards
- Use formative and summative assessments aligned with IB criteria
- Maintain accurate academic records and provide constructive feedback
- Collaborate with the DP Coordinator and science department
- Participate in IB training professional development and school activities
Qualifications & Skills
- Masters degree in Biology / Environmental Science / Life Sciences or related field
- Teaching qualification (./PGCE or equivalent) preferred
- IB Diploma Programme teaching experience or IB training is an advantage
- Strong understanding of IB assessment criteria and command terms
- Experience handling laboratory work and field-based learning
- Excellent communication mentoring and classroom management skills
- Commitment to inquiry-based student-centered learning
