Job Role: IBDP (Economics)
Location: Lucknow
Job Summary
We are seeking a knowledgeable and passionate IBDP Economics Teacher to deliver high-quality instruction aligned with the IB Diploma Programme. The teacher will support students in developing economic reasoning analytical skills and global awareness while preparing them for internal and external IB assessments.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach Economics at Standard Level (SL) and Higher Level (HL) as per IBDP guidelines
- Plan and deliver inquiry-based lessons aligned with the IB philosophy
- Guide students in Internal Assessments (IA) and exam preparation
- Develop students analytical evaluative and essay-writing skills
- Integrate real-world and global economic issues into teaching
- Use varied assessment strategies to monitor and support student progress
- Maintain accurate academic records and provide timely feedback
- Collaborate with IB coordinators and subject teams
- Participate in IB training school events and professional development
Qualifications & Skills
- Masters degree in Economics or a related field
- Teaching qualification (./PGCE or equivalent) preferred
- IB Diploma Programme teaching experience or IB training is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of IB assessment criteria and command terms
- Excellent communication classroom management and mentoring skills
- Commitment to inquiry-based and student-centered learning
