In India Jhpiego collaborates closely with national and state governments across multiple states providing technical assistance in family planning maternal and child health human resources for health non-communicable diseases and other priority areas.

The Program Officer Technical and Operations will support implementation and coordination of TB & GHS project activities by providing programmatic operational and documentation support. The role requires independent handling of deliverable tracking coordination of meetings and reviews preparation of high-quality documentation and support to day-to-day project operations in line with approved work plans timelines and Jhpiego and donor requirements. The Program Officer will work under the guidance of the supervisor and coordinate closely with internal teams field teams and partners.

Responsibilities

Program Coordination and Implementation Support

Independently coordinate selected project activities in line with work plans and

  • Track deliverables identify risks and proactively escalate delays with recommended
  • Provide technical and operational support to field teams to ensure activity quality and adherence to standards.
  • Contribute to development of technical briefs implementation notes and program

Stakeholder and Relationship Management

  • Liaise with district/state stakeholders internal teams and external partners for smooth program execution.
  • Build effective working relationships to enable timely communication joint reviews and activity follow
  • Represent the project in selected technical discussions review meetings and coordination forums.

Meetings Reviews and Documentation

  • Lead coordination of program meetings technical reviews and trainings at national/state/district levels.
  • Prepare highquality minutes tracking sheets action plans and followup
  • Support development of donor reports (monthly/quarterly/annual) ensuring accuracy and completeness.

Operations Logistics and Finance Coordination

Independently handle logistics and procurement coordination as per organizational

  • Track budgets GRFs activity expenses purchase requests and
  • Maintain updated records of procurements inventory and key

Monitoring Data and Knowledge Management

  • Maintain trackers dashboards and databases for monitoring deliverables and program
  • Support data collation and validation from field
  • Document learnings best practices and case studies to contribute to knowledge management

Other Responsibilities

  • Provide cross-team coordination support for trainings workshops and Undertake additional tasks aligned with project goals as assigned by the supervisor.

Required Qualifications

Qualifications & Experience

  • Graduate degree in public health social sciences management operations or a related field and postgraduate in any relevant discipline is essential.
  • More than 5 years of relevant experience in program coordination project management or implementation support preferably in public health or development programs.
