JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for ensuring the quality safety and compliance of milk and milk products through rigorous inspection testing and adherence to ISO standards. This role plays a critical part in maintaining cleanliness hygiene and food safety across production processes. The incumbent will implement standardized operating procedures (SOPs) conduct advanced analytical testing using Gas Chromatography (GC) and uphold documentation integrity to support continuous improvement in quality management. By monitoring raw materials in-process and finished goods the position ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and contributes to the overall excellence of product quality and operational efficiency.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct comprehensive inspection tests and analytical evaluations to assess the quality of milk and milk products.
- Implement and enforce SOPs and ensure strict compliance with ISO standards and related documentation.
- Maintain and enforce plant hygiene cleanliness and sanitation protocols to support food safety objectives.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality standards processes and operational performance.
- Identify develop and strengthen the competencies of quality assurance personnel.
- Monitor record and update quality data accurately and in real time ensuring zero deviations.
- Perform Gas Chromatography (GC) analysis to determine fat oil flavor and other compositional components in dairy products.
- Ensure GC instruments are properly calibrated maintained and troubleshooting issues promptly.
- Maintain detailed records of all GC test results and generate actionable reports with quality improvement recommendations.
- Ensure all testing activities comply with FDA ISO and other applicable regulatory standards.
- Support internal and external audits and inspections related to quality and food safety.
- Collaborate with production and cross-functional teams to identify quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Provide training and technical guidance to staff on GC testing procedures and quality best practices.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelors degree in Food Science Chemistry Microbiology or a related field.
- Proven experience in quality control within the dairy or food manufacturing industry.
- Hands-on expertise with Gas Chromatography (GC) instrumentation including calibration maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Strong understanding of ISO standards HACCP and food safety management systems.
- Proficiency in documentation data management and reporting tools.
- Excellent analytical problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced production environment.
- Familiarity with FDA and other regulatory compliance requirements.
