About Outpatient Clinics
Corewell Health operates over 300 outpatient clinics across Michigan bringing a multitude of care options to the communities that we serve. There are over 40 different types of primary care and specialty practices which allows those who work in these clinics the opportunity to learn and explore various interests or to specialize in one area.
Scope of work
Performs cardiopulmonary stress testing and physiological evaluation. May also analyze external cardiacs and assist in the implantable device management. Provides patient education related to heart healthy lifestyle choices.
Qualifications
Required Bachelors Degree in Exercise Physiology Exercise Science Health Science or related field
Preferred Masters Degree in Exercise Physiology Exercise Science Health Science or related field
Skills knowledge abilities typically gained through less than 2 years of relevant experience in the following areas: conducting graded exercise testing knowledge of cardiovascular physiology risk factor identification/modification; basic electrocardiogram (EKG) knowledge or completion of an internship in Cardiac Rehab required
CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association or ARC American Red Cross required within first 90 days
CRT-Adv Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) AHA American Heart Association required within first 90 days
CRT-Clinical Exercise Physiologist Certified (CEP) - ACSM American College of Sports Medicine preferred
