Job Summary
A welcoming and supportive secondary school in Bristol is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Chemistry Teacher to join its Science department as soon as possible. Chemistry is a well-established subject within the school with strong curriculum provision at KS3 and KS4 and opportunities at KS5 depending on experience.
The Role
Teaching Chemistry across KS3 and KS4 with KS5 depending on experience
Planning and delivering engaging well-structured lessons
Supporting pupils with practical investigations and exam preparation
Encouraging analytical thinking problem-solving and scientific enquiry
Working collaboratively within a supportive and well-resourced Science department
Contributing to enrichment activities and wider school life
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
A degree in Chemistry or a closely related subject
Experience teaching Chemistry at secondary level
Strong subject knowledge and confident classroom practice
High expectations for pupil engagement behaviour and progress
A professional organised and positive teaching approach
