Job Summary
A vibrant and forward-thinking secondary school in Swindon is seeking a creative and enthusiastic Photography Teacher to join its Art & Design department from April 2026. This is an exciting opportunity to teach engaged pupils in a school that values creativity innovation and high-quality outcomes.
Photography is a popular subject within the school with strong engagement at KS4 and opportunities at KS5 depending on experience.
The Role
Teaching Photography across KS3 and KS4 with KS5 depending on experience
Planning and delivering engaging well-structured practical and theory-based lessons
Supporting pupils with coursework portfolio development and exam preparation
Teaching camera techniques composition and digital editing skills
Encouraging creativity visual analysis and independent artistic expression
Contributing to exhibitions displays and enrichment activities
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
A degree in Photography Art & Design or a related subject
Experience teaching Photography at secondary level
Strong subject knowledge and confident classroom practice
High expectations for pupil engagement behaviour and progress
A professional organised and positive teaching approach
