Job Summary

Our client a forward-thinking leader in Zimbabwes manufacturing sector is seeking a highly skilled and strategic Operations Executive to lead plant operations and drive performance across the business. This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a senior leadership role with the ability to shape streamline and scale operations for long-term success.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement operational strategies to meet production quality and efficiency targets.
Oversee the full manufacturing process ensuring minimal downtime and optimal output.
Lead and mentor cross-functional operations teams with a focus on performance accountability and continuous improvement.
Drive a culture of excellence in safety quality and compliance.
Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives and process improvements.
Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to support company goals and regulatory compliance.
Champion continuous improvement and operational innovation across the plant.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

Bachelors degree in Engineering (Chemical Mechanical or Industrial preferred); a Masters degree is an added advantage.
5 years experience in a senior operations role within a heavy manufacturing environment.
Professional registration with the Zimbabwe Institution of Engineers (ZIE) is highly advantageous
Proven experience implementing operational excellence methodologies (Lean Six Sigma etc.).
Strong financial and budget management capabilities.
Deep knowledge of health safety and environmental compliance standards.
Results-driven mindset with strong strategic planning abilities.
Exceptional leadership communication and problem-solving skills.
Comfortable managing operations using data and performance metrics.
