The Driver Control Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing all company drivers to ensure safe compliant and efficient transport operations. The role focuses on driver performance route management vehicle utilisation compliance with company policies and maintaining high standards of safety and customer service. This position plays a critical role in ensuring operational excellence cost control and risk mitigation within the transport function.

Responsibilities:
Driver Management & Supervision

Oversee daily activities of all drivers.

Ensure adherence to company policies safety regulations and road traffic laws.

Monitor driver attendance punctuality and productivity.
-
Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching where necessary.

Manage disciplinary processes in line with HR policies.
Operational Control
-
Coordinate driver scheduling and route allocation.
-
Monitor trip sheets fuel usage mileage and vehicle logs.
-
Ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods/services.
-
Investigate delays incidents and service disruptions.
Compliance & Safety
-
Ensure all drivers have valid licenses and required certifications.
-
Monitor compliance with transport regulations and company standards.
-
Conduct regular safety briefings and toolbox talks.
-
Manage accident reporting and incident investigations.
-
Drive continuous improvement in fleet safety performance.
Fleet Oversight
-
Work closely with the Fleet/Workshop team to ensure vehicle roadworthiness.

Monitor vehicle utilisation and downtime.
-
Oversee fuel control systems and manage fuel consumption reports.
Reporting & Administration

Prepare weekly and monthly operational reports.
-
Maintain accurate driver and fleet records.
-
Analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) and recommend improvements.
Key Skills:
