Job Summary

The Rome Judicial Circuit is seeking a full-time Administrative Assistant II to support the Public Defenders Office in Floyd County. This position provides essential administrative and operational support to attorneys staff and clients in a fast-paced legal environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform general office and administrative duties including data entry case management filing and document preparation
  • Communicate with clients courts and the public as a primary point of contact
  • Prepare file and deliver legal pleadings to Circuit Courts
  • Coordinate court calendars meetings and travel schedules
  • Attend court and meetings as needed to assist legal staff
  • Maintain records track office activities and prepare reports
  • Support day-to-day office operations including purchasing billing inventory and other administrative functions
  • Assist with special projects and perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage sensitive information with professionalism and discretion
